08 March 2025 Life begins at 44

A lot has happened over the last three and a half years. I didn’t realize the last update on this blog was on August 10, 2021. Sometimes, as humans, we become overshadowed by the events happening around us, but we forget that the most important thing about life is 'us.' I remember a friend telling me a long time ago, 'Life is a journey, not a destination.' Remember to enjoy the beauty of life as we travel along our journey.

Here I am again, settling down in another new country, Qatar. I have long enjoyed quietness, a feeling I call bliss, while others call loneliness. It has been a while since I’ve returned to this state of mind, where I can feel my inner self aligning with my soul—a feeling beyond description. Emptiness.

Like the old Buddhist teaching says, 'Emptiness is full, full is emptiness.' In my own words, you see much more by shutting your eyes, hear more by closing your ears, and say more by closing your mouth.

However, the core principle of World Tour For Children has not changed, and our support for underprivileged children remains unwavering. We believe children are our future, and each child is special to their parents. We support Da Ai Charity (officially registered as Talian Hayat Kehidupan Malaysia Social Welfare), founded in 2016 and located in the old district of Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

I have supported numerous donation efforts through Hung Lee Precision Sdn Bhd in Penang. As a responsible business owner, I believe no man is an island, and the sole purpose of our existence is to help our fellow human beings.

The Universe continues to show me its blessings, and I am grateful for how it guides me on the path to my life’s destiny.

 

We have even started our family tradition of an annual vacation together. Our first family vacation destination was Genting Highlands in 2023, followed by Lenggong GeoPark in Perak in 2024, and Legoland Johor in 2025. As parents, the best gift I can give them is a wonderful childhood memory, and I hope they will cherish these moments for the longest time.

My faithful wife, Cassandra, has always been the pillar of my life. Our life continues to evolve, and I am filled with love and appreciation for my wonderful wife, for her unwavering support, kindness, and the joy she brings into my life every day.

I am proud to introduce Axl Foong, our youngest child in the Foong family. Born on July 5th, 2023, Axl's birth reminded me of how the Universe works in its own unique way. I remember I was still in Brunei when I received a phone call from my wife in Penang, announcing the pregnancy. I could not hide my inner joy and happiness. 

I would like to sign off today’s post by committing to visiting at least one children’s home each year, starting in 2025. It has been too many years since our last visit in 2019 to Sivananda Home in Kuala Kubu Baru.

Thus, life begins at 44. No matter what age you are, you can always reinvent yourself, pursue new dreams, and live life with intention.
