We left Malacca after a quick hearty breakfast in the hotel at 0800hrs. The journey to Alor Gajah from Malacca city took us 40mins and we were warmly welcome by everyone upon arrival.

Safety first!
It was quite a challenge for us to find the place because the address did not seems to appear on both our GPS and Google Map search. We were told to meet up at the main road and was guided by Mr Magentran to the homes.

Video- team work is great among resident and management
Our group took the opportunity to mingle around the children and old folks, before we were shown around the facilities. We came to understand the house actually belongs to a Singaporean owner and like all management, PERKEKWA is working on the feasibility to have their own property in the near future.

Mr Magentran explaining to us on how he runs the homes
Our group also exchanged views on how we could improve PERKEKWA visibility outside Alor Gajah and general improvement of the centre. There are few suggestion given by our group especially on branding, website content, affiliation to other homes.
PERKEKWA ( Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Istimewa & Warga emas Alor Gajah Melaka ) is a charity body strive to provide a comfortable life for the underprivileged and the old folks which are not been taken seriously by the community.
Mr Magentran and his management team fetch us to the nearest local supermarket where we bought essential provisions including adult diapers. We did not look into cleaning materials as we understand they are coming in by another sponsor next week.
Washer delivered to the homes the next days

We left the homes around 1130hrs and proceed right to Lake Chini (Tasik Chini Pahang). Approximate distance 240km from Alor Gajah.

The rain came right after Morgan's comment 'This place is sunny'!
Good ride, Good company
A long stretch of gravel roads to the Lake Chini Resort
Lake Chini Resort!
Getting ready for the night. Park nice nice ok, Don't block other car
Look closely at the cable and padlock. Superb!
Our team arrived Lake Chini resort on the same day approximately 1900hrs and we are lucky because the resort is not full. The condition of the rooms are not great but for the rate we paid, we can't really complain. Nonetheless, we have clean sheets, hot shower, working aircond and ceiling fan. To me, I am comfortable and one of the best sleep in days.
